Cranes and Sakura - A5 Japanese Paper Pack

These stunning, high-quality washi are excellent for bookbinding. 和紙 (wa-shi) directly translates to "Japanese paper", a traditional craft deeply rooted in the country’s culture and history. These paper packs are a great introduction to washi for your bookbinding projects.

Each pack includes 8 sheets of paper:

⟡ 2 sheets of cranes chiyogami for the front cover (7 x 10 inches, 17.8 x 25.4 cm)
⟡ 2 sheets of tairei for the back cover (7 x 10 inches, 17.8 x 25.4 cm)
⟡ 4 sheets of susa iri folded in half for the endpapers (8.5 x 11.75 inches, 21.6 x 29.8 cm open flat)

The sheets are perfectly sized for making an A5 book, whether you’re using A4 or letter sized paper. All papers are cut to the correct grain direction. I suggest making a Coptic stitch book or a case bound book with quarter binding (see below).
